Thursday November 16 2023, members of the 31 Division proudly attended the distinguished Annual Chief's Gala, a significant event dedicated to supporting Victim Services Toronto. This esteemed gala, hosted by the Chief of Police, represents a pivotal moment each year in acknowledging and celebrating the indispensable role of Victim Services, an organization whose contributions are invaluable not only to those who have been victimized but also to police officers managing the complexities of crime scenes and sudden, tragic events.

The Chief's Gala stands as a high-profile, grand affair, drawing in over 1,400 distinguished guests annually. This gathering includes prominent police chiefs and senior police leaders from various corners of the province, alongside notable figures from all levels of government and esteemed members of the business community. Since its inception in 2008, the Chief's Gala has been a cornerstone event, successfully raising over $5.2 million in funds, testament to the community's commitment to supporting victims and acknowledging the tireless efforts of those who assist them.

Looking ahead, the 16th iteration of this illustrious gala is set to occur on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto. This venue, known for its elegance and prestige, will provide the perfect backdrop for an evening of recognition, reflection, and reaffirmation of support for the vital work carried out by Victim Services Toronto.

Victim Services Toronto provides immediate on-site crisis, trauma, safety and support services to victims of crime and sudden tragedy. This agency works closely, and in partnership with, the Toronto Police and depends on community support and donations in order to provide essential victim assistance programs to the City of Toronto.

Stranger Danger Presentation

August 17, 2024

A heartfelt thank you to the Seneca Summer Camp at Yorkgate Mall for welcoming 31 Division’s Black Creek Neighbourhood officers to engage with the campers. Our officers had the privilege of giving an interactive presentation on essential safety topics, including how to recognize and respond to stranger danger, who to contact in an emergency, and practical safety tips for staying safe in public spaces.

Honda Indy Bike Ride Program

We had a great time at Westview Centennial Secondary School for the “Honda Indy Bike Ride” program, organized by The Children’s Breakfast Club @childrensbreakfastclub. The students participated in hands-on sessions, including helmet and brake fitting, serial number documentation, and a road and bicycle safety seminar. 🚴🏽‍♀️🚴🏽🚴🏾‍♂️ It was fantastic to see everyone so engaged and ready to ride safely!

The Toronto Police Service and the 31 Division CPLC is proud to announce that we have partnered with the Jamaican Canadian Association for a $1000.00 education Scholarship for anyone is entering there first year of College or University. This is open to residents who live in the boundaries of 31 Division interested in Law enforcement or Justice studies only. This is a excellent way to invest in the educational aspirations of our youth to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the community we serve.
